Merck for Mothers is a 10-year $500 million initiative to end maternal mortality worldwide. We needed to position Merck for Mothers as a key player in the maternal health space and inspire the global health community to help join the fight. 

All for Mothers—the brand platform we created—encompassed the worldwide participation and effort required to end maternal mortality. The brand anthem video PUSH, captures the universal journey of motherhood and pregnancy, a time when women should be excited to bring new life into the world, not fearing for their own. I worked on the concept and art direction of the brand anthem video, and was the lead designer on the program report, in addition to working on the art direction and copywriting. The brand anthem video won two Lions at Cannes 2017 and two Clios at the 2017 Clio Awards.

THE ANNUAL REPORT

Every two minutes, a woman dies giving birth. Merck for Mothers is working to change this statistic and make maternal mortality a thing of the past. The annual report we created revolved around this concept: changing the statistic.

FOCUS AREAS

Merck for Mothers has three main focus areas: enabling health providers, delivering life-saving products, and empowering women. We began each section of the book by changing a statistic through design.
